Our primary focus is in helping
our customers create & maintain
safe, healthy and harmonious
gardens.
Our Garden Service Include:
WEEDING
We pull weeds by hand and never
use harmful chemical herbicides.
PRUNING & DEADHEADING
We remove old growth and spent
flower heads for maximum growth
potential and overall health
of plants. Major pruning is
done during plants' dormancy
periods or immediately after
first flush of flowers begins
to fade.
RAKING
We rake fallen leaves from under
plants. No gas-powered blowers
will be used to avoid generating
air & noise pollution.
SWEEPING
We sweep patios, walkways &
sidewalks with brooms. No gas-powered
blowers will be used.
INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT
(IPM)
We use a mixture of water, fish
emulsion (as a foliar feed)
and organic peppermint soap
to make our organic insecticide/foliar
feed. Although it kills pests,
it is not harmful to you, your
pets, or your gardener. We do
not use harmful pesticides.
IRRIGATION
We troubleshoot your irrigation
during every visit and inform
you of any leaks or broken parts
as found.
DIVISION OF PERENNIALS
We divide perennials during
the right time of season; when
they are dormant. These perennials
can be shared with your friends
and neighbors, or composted
in your compost bin.
FERTILIZING
We use compost tea to strengthen
the soil's biology. We never
use chemical fertilizers (such
as Miracle-Gro) because these
can leave unwanted chemical
elements in the soil which can
seep into the ground, drain
into our Bay and back into our
drinking water. Compost tea,
while a bit more expensive is
completely organic and enviromentally
safe, plus it adds beneficial
microbial components to the
soil which helps the soil feed
your plants.
PLANT MATERIAL COMPOSTING
We can install a compost bin
& utilize the on-site plant
material (leaves, cuttings,
etc.) to make free, healthy
compost that is recycled into
your garden. A compost bin can
be purchased for you and charged
to you in the monthly fee.
WHAT IS NOT
COVERED IN OUR SERVICES:
We do not climb or prune
fruit trees or trees in excess
of 15ft.
We do not clean gutters.
We do not handle or transport
trash, waste, hazardous or chemical
materials.
We do not install or transport
hardscape materials. |
