This
garden was designed to reintegrate
the natural aesthetics and wonderful
costal color appeal to a primarily
turf and perennial courtyard
located close to the Northern
California coastline. We used
plants which thrive on the California
coast, look great in the natural
surrounding environment and
require very little maintenance
and very little water. To provide
valuable resource for wildlife,
we added berry and flower producing
plants which serve a dual purpose
in filling in the landscape
with lush greenery, while giving
the insects and birds something
tasty to eat. The groundcover,
trees and shrubs bloom in alternating
cycles, giving this courtyard
design year round visual appeal.
